Zeke Tan

Hand and Upper Limb Surgeon

    Dr. Tan was born in Wellington, NZ and grew up in East Africa. He graduated from the University of Otago in 1998 and went on to complete specialist training in orthopaedics in Newcastle, NSW. He gained Hand and Upper Limb training with fellowships in Liverpool, UK and Wrightington, UK. He then returned to Australia in 2010 where he has been working as an Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Limb surgeon at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital.



    Dr. Tan is heavily involved in registrar and fellow training at the Gold Coast University Hospital and also teaches on sub-specialist training courses internationally.


    His area of interest is the full range of hand and upper limb conditions and assessment and treatment is highly individualised, taking into account each patient’s pursuits. He is committed to providing patients with a bespoke management plan to suit their individual needs. He works with major sports clubs and elite level athletes on the Gold Coast and enjoys getting patients back to performance.
