Peter Blanch

Peter Blanch has 40 years of experience working in sport at the highest levels. For twenty years he was employed at the Australian Institute of Sport working with the Olympic sports predominately swimming. He has worked at Cricket Australia as the Sports Science Sports Medicine Manager and two AFL teams as Head of Medical Services. He has been consistently involved in research with over 70 publications (mostly as “al”, as in “et al”) with an h-index of 44. Peter has been on Advisory Boards for Cricket Australia, Swimming Australia, Australian Commonwealth Games Association, and the Queensland Academy of Sport. These days he is semi-retired, and to keep his “Relevancy deprivation syndrome” at bay, works as a consultant to a few sporting organisations.
